Well, I began having a weird problem...
Sometimes, it was difficult to make the engine crank, so, I quickly
checked the voltage at the starter solenoid terminal with the ignition key in
Start position. It was like 8.50 volts... so, I tought, I have
voltage... the starter solenoid is defective...
I changed it, and the problem was still there...
The problem was that the 8.5 volts were not enough to activate the starter
solenoid. So I installed and auxiliary solenoid.
The ignition key energizes the auxiliary solenoid which in turn
activates the starter solenoid.
This problem is quite comon among Cavaliers and this is a solution pretty simple and cheap. :)
